Our ward put on a Harvest Fair this last Saturday and it was so much fun! We had a chili cookoff, and a cornbread and pie contest. I got 3rd place for my apple cranberry pie, yum! (I cant take the credit really, its my moms recipe) I was in charge of the dehydrating table and I did a demo on making fruit leather and dehydrating apples. I made a blackberry-apple fruit leather, it was really good. The whole fair was based around being prepared, food storage, saving money and frugal crafting. They had a 72-hour backpack relay race for the kids, some families made their own scarecrows to bring and display and lots of fun demos and classes for everyone to visit. I absolutely love our ward!
