Memories...

I found this on Andrea's blog and thought it would be fun:)

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, if it is recent or years old, silly or serious--anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Okay, so here is one of my favorite memories. Back when we lived in FW together, I loved going shopping with you, you knew how to keep me cool. Even though we are really not that far apart in age I felt like I was getting out of whatever was cool or trendy and I knew you had left High School more recent then me (and not to mention your so totally cute, cool and hip) and I was looking for a cool pair of sunglasses and the ones I was picking out were totally not cool. You helped steer me in the right direction to picking a cool pair. I need friends like you to keep me cool.

So we laugh about this all the time...or sometimes when Im at home I will think about and just start laughing out loud! So one day in beauty school you decides that you want to go red! You tells me the color you wants to used and we do it! As Im rinsing it out in the sink...Im thinking to myself "Holy crap this is really red/a lil orange!!!" Of course I didn't say anything to you then, just "maybe we will need to tone it" I can still picture the exact look on your face when you saw it for the first time!!! It was priceless! We laughed so hard for like 10 min. and everyone else around Im sure were staring at us. The funny thing is is that you would think from that experience I would learn something...oh no. A week or so ago I decided to do the same thing....and got the same result. Of course you were there to help me fix it!!!! So please stop me next time I tell you I want to go red all over!

My memories go back a long way. How about the day you were born. I can still see that beautiful little face looking up at me. How about the day you threw my wedding ring down the sink! There are so many I couldn't name them all. Last is the wonderul memory of the the day Cameron was born. Thanks for sharing that with me. Love, Mom

The majority of my memories are the first three years of Elizabeth's life when she lived close to me in Utah.

You were the busiest child I have ever known!! Your Mom and Dad stayed with Ben and me while Grandma went to S.C. and Grandpa was working in Canada. You took one of my stuffed vegetables and cut the skirt off so that you could sew like your Mom. Next you tried to pull a milk carton out of the refrigerator and the milk spilt all over the floor. You continued to do several other things and your Mom was at the end of her rope by the time your Dad got home from work. Your Dad took your Mom out for a break and I baby sat you for the evening.

One of the funniest memories was when Amy and I were playing parcheese. You had been going through my dis-or-dat (jar of change). Amy and I discovered we were missing a playing piece. We started looking for it and figured you had taken it. When we found you we pulled of the boot you were wearing and out fell a BUNCH of coins and a parchese piece!! We got a good laugh!!

I have many fond memories of Elizabeth growing up. I can't wait to see if Cameron is as active as you were!
