Buddies

The other day I watched my friends son for a few hours. Cameron and Hank had a blast playing together. Cameron always loves having friends over and having someone other than mom to play with, I think he gets bored of me. They were so silly and did the funniest things.
They swiffered my kitchen together, thank you boys, all while wearing bowls on their heads!
They played under the table together, they thought this was really funny.
They rode Camerons bike toy together. It was so cute, Cameron was sitting on it so Hank came and got on the back and they sat like this for a few minutes. Cameron thought it was so funny having Hank on there with him.
Thanks for coming to play Hank!

Zumba!

Tonight a few friends and I went to a Zumba class in town. I had never done it so I had no idea what to expect. It was so much fun! I didnt think it could be much of a workout, but it was a really good workout! If you dont know what Zumba is I got this off Wikipedia...

A Zumba workout mixes body sculpting movements with dance steps derived from cumbia, merengue, salsa, reggaeton, hip hop, mambo, rumba, flamenco, and calypso and Salsaton. The routines feature aerobic interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms. It targets areas such as the glutes, legs, arms, abdominals, and the heart. A Zumba class is typically not formulaic in that instructors often add on their own music choices and choreographies to make their class presentation locally unique.

It was so much fun I think we are going to try to do it at least once a week. She offers classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday so we have to make it to at least one of those days each week. It felt so good to work out again! I havent been able to do much in the way of working out, only walking and at home videos and such to save money by not getting a gym membership. So this was awesome. The flyer said you burn 900 calories a session! Amazing. I hope this helps me loose some more weight. I am actually 4 lbs below my pre pregnancy weight but I would love to continue watching those numbers get lower and lower.

Jack and Jills for Hanks Party

Today was our friend Hanks birthday party. It was at Jumpin Jack and Jills which is like a bouncy place. He had fun half of the time. He really only liked the slide, he wasnt so sure about everything else. I think it was hard for him to stay stable standing so it scared him. But he had fun going down the slide! Thanks for inviting us to your 3rd birthday party Hank! Here we are jumping together, kinda a funky picture, but it was the best one of me and Cameron together:)
He had fun playing with the other toys too. This was a schoolbus with toys and mirrors on it. He was really interested in the mirrors, he kept squatting down to see himself in them and then poking at the mirror trying to touch himself, silly kid.
Here is Bret and the birthday boy, Hank, playing air hockey together.

Old McDebbies Farm

My friends son, Hank, turned 3 on Friday so to celebrate they went to Old McDebbies Farm where you can pet and feed animals. They were nice enough to invite us along for the fun. This was Camerons first time to a petting zoo and he seemed like he really liked it. He really enjoyed the little goats and the llama. He actually shoved his finger up the llamas nose! He actually did hold out food in his hands a few times to let the animals eat it from his hand, brave boy! Thanks for inviting us along Courtney!
Outside the barn they have this old boat that the kids can play on surrounded by a gravel play area with a bunch of little dump trucks and toys. I think the kids enjoyed this just as much as the animals!
After playing our friend Danielle offered juice boxes to all the kids. Cameron had never had one before, but I have been working on straws with him so I figured it would be fun to see if he could do it. He loved it! So I had to capture his first juice box on camera:)

Splish Splash

We invited my good friend and neighbor Courtney and her kids Hank and Max over for a little swim the other day. It was a really warm day so the kids had fun cooling off in the pool. Cameron and Hank had a lot of fun playing together, Max wasnt quite so sure about the cool water, but he got in eventually. Hank liked to pour the watering can over Camerons head and Cameron thought it was pretty funny. I wasnt sure how Cam would like the pool since last time we tried a water toy it was too cold for him. But this time I put some warm water from inside in it as well and it was so hot out that I think he was just glad to be cool. We will have to do this again!

Water!

Since the weather has been so hot this week I picked up a little blow up pool for Cameron when I was out. I took him out there to help me fill it up before we were going to play in it, but he had other plans in mind. We didnt even get inside to get his swim shorts on and we didnt make it into the pool before he was drenched. He saw the hose and he was in heaven! He would put his hand in front of the water so it would spray him and he thought it was the funniest thing ever. Here are a few pictures of him playing in the water, and then there is a video at the bottom.
After I turned the water off because he was soaked, he ran over to the handle to try to turn it back on. He didnt understand why I shut it off on him. Then of course since he was so wet I had to take his clothes off so I let him run around in the backyard for a little bit in just his diaper. He kept going over to the pool and splashing his hands in it. Hopefully next time we will actually make it into the pool to play!

Naked Baby=Dirty Carpet

After Camerons bath sometimes he escapes while Im trying to get his diaper on so I let him run around for a minute naked. Bret always says "hes gonna go potty without his diaper on." Well its never happened, well until today. He sat down to play for a minute so I decided I was going to take a picture real fast and then get his diaper and pjs on. I took a picture and noticed he was sitting kinda funny, snapped another, and thought "what is that in the picture?" Thats when I realized I had photographed my son pooping on the carpet!! I couldnt believe it! So I jumped up and made sure he didnt smash it into the carpet, Bret came over and picked him up. He managed to get it on his hands and thigh (yuck) so Bret held him in the air while I wiped him down. So gross! I guess I learned my lesson. All we could do was laugh, it was pretty funny.

The Circus

The circus came to town and we decided it would be fun to make it a family event to go. I had never been to the circus, and of course neither has Cameron, so it was a first for us. It was just a small circus but still alot of fun. It was really hot today especially inside the tent, so just ignore how hot and sweaty we look in the pictures...

Cameron enjoyed hit first snow cone, he wasnt a huge fan until we got to all the syrup!

Cameron watched certain parts of the show with such intent, he was so interested in what was going on. Of course, once he lost interest, it was hard to keep him contained on our laps.
The first act involved two tigers and a lion. It was crazy to see them so up close. We didnt get a good picture of the lion but here is a picture of the tigers. Cameron really liked this part.
This is the trapeze artist, she was pretty good. I would be terrified... At the end she swung on the back of her neck!
Its hard to tell in this picture, but this girl was balancing on a round tube with 4 stools stacked on top of eachother, amazing!
This was a huge snake! If you wanted they would let you take a picture with it. I said no no because that thing could swallow my baby! Not to add I hate snakes...
We got a picture with the clown. She was pretty funny:)
This guy is sitting on a chair on the high rope. He almost fell one time, good thing he didnt since there wasnt anything below to catch him.
After the circus we went out to dinner and Cameron had a ton of fun with the straw. He was cracking up playing with it. He waved at everyone that walked by, like always. And shook a few peoples hands, silly kid. He is very friendly!

Our Garden is Growing!

This is our first garden ever! I have always wanted to do a garden, but I definatly dont have a green thumb and we have never really had the money to get one started. So this year, I made sure it happened. Its not the fanciest, but it works! So we bought some starters (tomatos, strawberries, a few herbs, etc.) and we planted some seeds. I am excited to have my own fresh grown vegitables this summer.

Here is a picture of my beans, corn and peas popping up out of the ground. I was so excited when I saw the first one growing, I was afraid nothing would grow. But we are on our way to yummy veggies!

I have such a funny kid...

Cameron found a pair of my old glasses and now he wants to wear them! We took the lenses out so they wont hurt his eyes or break, so he wanders around the house with them on.

I have had allergies for the last couple weeks so I have been blowing my nose a lot. So the other day I was blowing my nose and Cameron was reaching for the tissues so I gave him one. He automatically put it up to his nose and started blowing! How funny!

The other video is Cameron being weird and silly. He has started putting his food on top of his sippy cup and then eating it off the top, what a funny idea! I never showed him anything like that, it was just an idea of his own.

Memorial Day Weekend

My Aunt Jenny came to visit us for Memorial Day Weekend, she got in on Thursday night and left Tuesday morning. It was really fun seeing her and getting to spend time with her. Cameron had fun playing with her too! Silly enough, I didnt actually get any pictures of Cameron and Jenny together :( Jenny and I went to the craft store while she was here and got some paper to play around on my cricut machine. We cut out a bunch of cute things for a scrapbook page of her trip here. While she was here we all went to see Star Trek, Im going to give it a 3 out of 5... it was good, but not amazing. We went to dinner at Mama Stortinis (yum!) and while we were there I gave Cameron a lemon from a drink and he loved it! It was so funny, he would suck on it a minute and then he would squint his eyes shut and shiver all over because it was so sour.
The whole weekend my mom was feeling kind of sick. We were planning a BBQ on Monday but she started feeling so sick she went to the ER and ended up having appendicitis! So she had surgery Monday night to remove her appendix. It ended up just being Jenny, Christopher, Bret, Cameron and me for the BBQ. It was still fun though! Too bad my mom and dad couldnt be there.

My mom bought Cameron a little watering can to help me water my garden. He always wants to help, he tries to pick up the hose but he cant get any water to come out. So I gave him the watering can, but all he wated to do with it was put his hand inside it and splash around the water, funny kid. Here are some pictures from this weekend.
Cameron came down with a sinus infection, he had a fever of between 102 and 103 degrees all weekend. Every morning he would wake up with "green stuff" smothered all over his nose and face, poor boy. I took this picture because he looked so pitiful and this wasnt even the worst, this was after his nose had been wiped off... He is still a little sick, but getting better.
