Sick Boy

Cameron has caught his first cold and he is miserable! He has a very runny, stuffy nose and wakes up with crusties all over his nose. And he has this sad cough and it wakes him up everytime he coughs, so he cant even sleep very well unless I am holding him. I took him to the doctor but there is nothing they can give a baby for a cold. I wish they could at least do something! They weighed and measured him, he is exactly 20lbs and 27" now. I sure hope he starts feeling better soon, I feel so bad for him. The fun part is that he is super snuggly:)

Jessicas Wedding

Jessica got married this Saturday and it was a lot of fun. Bret and I were invited to the sealing so it was great to be able to go to the temple and watch her and her husband Daniel get sealed. I did her hair and I had to get up at 3:30am to be up to her hotel by 5:15am to do her hair in time for her to get to the temple in time to prepare for her sealing. Since my parents live closer and I would have less of a drive in the morning, Cameron and I stayed the night there on Friday night. It was quite the adventure, I cant believe how much stuff I had to pack just to take a baby overnight and through a day somewhere other than home. I felt like I was packing for a week long trip! Anyhow, the sealing was beautiful and so was her reception. Here are pictures of her hair all done and beautiful. I wish you could see it better in the pictures, but I did a finger wave side swoop bang leading back to the bun in the back but because the hair is so dark you cant see it in the picture. She looked so great!

Fall is Here

Fall seems to have arrived... The mornings are cooler and its stays darker longer and the evenings seem to go quicker and its darker sooner. The pumpkin patches are open for business and there are leaves on the ground. Cameron has to get all bundled up now for our morning walks with Courtney, Hank and Max. I love how the air is so crisp in the fall. Its so fresh and clean feeling. We are excited to take Cameron to the pumpkin patch this year and carve some pumpkins. I cant wait to make pumpkin seeds, yum:)

My Baby Body Blues

I am sure every new mom goes through this, except for those amazing women who walk out of the hospital back in their size 2 jeans... Im in a little bit of a blue period with my new body shape. I have been saving up some money from doing hair for getting myself some new clothes. I went shopping yesterday with my friend and Im telling you from my head to my toes my body is different! My feet have widened and grown about a half a size so I have to get size 8wide in most shoes and they dont make all styles in a wide size... My hips are inevitably never going back, they are wider than before . I feel like most of my friends that have had babies around the same time as me are back in their normal jeans, or at least their "big normal jeans" and I cant zip em' up! My hips have grown and will probably never go back so finding jeans yesterday that fit my bottom, my thighs, my hips and my waist was darn near impossible. And we wont even go into my issues with bras right now. I am stuck at 15 more pounds to loose and its not coming off, I have been at that for over a month now, maybe even 2 months. So yesterday was a bit frustrating because I swear clothes just dont fit my body the same anymore at all. I spent half the day at the mall and walked out with only enough things I could count them on one hand. As frustrating and somewhat depressing as it is to look in a mirror right now, it was all worth it. But I sure hope that I can at least get 10 more pounds off, if not all 15, before I have another baby.

I Love Apples!

"Yum Yum, green apple...
"Oops I dropped it!"
"I guess I will just have to look cute then..."

I was washing dishes and had Cameron sitting in his high chair playing with some toys and he was staring down the apples on the counter. I washed one really well and gave it to him. He loved it! He played with it for quite a while. He would drop it down under his arm in the highchair and then look at me with big eyes cause he wanted me to get it out for him so he could continue shoving it into his mouth. It was so cute!

Feeding Himself... Sometimes

Cameron has figured out how to hold his bottle on his own, but sometimes he puts too much force on it that he pushes it out of his mouth. But, he is starting to learn to control how much force he puts on it and has been able to hold his own bottle for longer periods of time now. I always keep my hand close to catch it when he starts to drop it. If I hold the bottle out in front of him he will grab it and shove it in his mouth and start eating. He is learning so fast!

My 5 Month Old, 20 Pounder

I cant believe my baby is already 5 months old! He is growing so quickly. He is almost half a year... amazing how fast time flies. I weighed him the other day and he is already 20lbs! He is doing so much fun stuff now, sitting, eating some baby food and rice cereal, laughs and squeals, smiles all the time (he is a big flirt), and babbling up a storm! I sure love my little boy so much and I am having such a fun time being his mommy and watching him learn and grow. Its the best job in the world!

Bathing More Like A Big Boy

Cameron has grown so much he doesnt fit in his old bath tub anymore! Since he can sit on his own pretty well now we got him this bath seat. Now he just sits in the bath seat in the tub and we fill the bottom of the tub up instead of using a baby bath tub. He has these foam letters for bath time and he loves them. You can see him here chewing on the "G." Now he gets to be in a bath almost like a big boy would:)

Jessicas Bridal Shower

Saturday Maggie and I threw a bridal shower for Jessica. She is getting married on October 11th, which is coming up fast! It was a lot of fun, we had a good turnout and she got lots of fun things to fill her new home with. I am so excited for her and Daniel!

Then afterward she came over so we could do a practice run for her wedding hair. It was more of a "play around and see what we can do" session. We are using extra hair and pinning it in to make her hair look like she has more. Bret took these pictures since I was putting Cameron down when they were leaving so they didnt turn out as well as I could have taken them:)

My (Almost) Rolley Polley

Cameron finally rolled over yesterday all on his own from his tummy to his back! But I cant get him to do it again. He started pushing up on his arms too. After he rolled over we tried to catch him on video but of course he wouldnt do it again. I did however record how he rolls from his back to his tummy. He can do it if I just start him off. I push his legs to the side and then he pulls his body over. I hope he starts rolling more now! When he did it Bret was watching us but he looked up at the TV for a minute and that happened to be when he rolled, so Bret didnt even get to see him do it!

Rain Rain Go Away, We're Doing the Puyallup Today!

We planned to go to the fair on the 20th and since it was the last Saturday for the fair we had to stick to it even though it was raining! It was still a lot of fun, we just didnt stay as long as we might have if it were dry. Christopher and my mom came along, they had never been before which shocked me! Cameron slept most the time with breif periods being awake to take in little bit of the fair. I would have had him out more if it werent raining but it was best to keep him in the stroller where he could be dry and warm.

He was all bundled up in his stroller, he looks real happy, doesnt he? I love the picture of him as the bee, too bad he was still half asleep so we couldnt get him to smile.
He did seem interested in the animals. He would just stare and stare at them. I think he might have been a little afraid of them... Im sure next year he will enjoy them a lot more.
I had to get a picture of this sign, its so funny! Believe me, it smelled like Doo-Doo Only! Bret isnt too keen on rides so my mom, my brother and I rode a few. We love the Tilt-A-Whirl so we went on that a few times. I could ride it all day long, its so much fun! Next year we are going the first weekend its open in hopes for better weather.

Remote Control Cars

Bret has a bit of an obsession with model cars. He has a whole box of them in the garage, and its a big box. He is waiting to find a "good shelving unit" to show them off... Anyway, he also has some that are remote control cars. He decided to go out and find them in that box so Cameron could watch them and play with them. So we sat in the kitchen this afternoon and played with them and he loved it! He kept reaching for them and he was kicking his legs and almost shaking he was so excited! Bret sat him between his legs and let him play with the controller and helped him drive the car around. He thought it was so much fun. This might have to be a new Sunday family activity.

Here is a video of him watching the car drive around. Excuse the angle... And we forgot to turn on the sound when we recorded so no sound either, sorry!
